SuperReturn Emerging Markets 2014

Tuesday 24 June 2014

With interest in African private equity at an all-time high, the SuperReturn Emerging Markets Africa Summit is dedicated to sessions on how managers are successfully building companies on the ground, fundraising constraints for the region and the perspectives of an African LP.

New in 2014Portfolio Case Studies
A series of managers present a case study of one portfolio company and discuss honestly how they grew the company, what didn’t work and what they would do differently next time.

Focus On Fund Structuring
Has the squeeze in fundraising led to more LP-friendly terms in emerging market private equity? To what extent are GPs adapting with different waterfall models & fee structures? These questions will be addressed by a panel of LPs and GPs.

“Too Hot To Touch” Boardroom Discussion
This session shall take place strictly under the “Chatham House Rule” meaning a frank and honest discussion between attendees and speakers. Topics discussed will be those usually deemed “too hot to touch” in an open forum and concern all aspects of private equity investing, such as:
• Pay & Remuneration Within Firms
• Turnover & Consistency Within GP Firms
• Transparency & Reporting
